1996 Flair #45

Card Review: 2.9 This card compares well to other Flair efforts.  But as a baseball card, it still sucks.  I'll never understand what card collector's of the mid to late 1990's were thinking, that made them believe junk like Flair was somehow special.  The photo on the front of this card actually looks like it might be kind of nice, but I can't really tell.  All the other players, field, stadium, sunlight (everything that makes a baseball card cool) is cropped out.  On top of it all, the card stock is way too thick.  I hesitate to even call Flair a baseball card, it's more like a novelty item, like the Topps Coins.

Fun Facts: *Wallach hit 8 home-runs in 56 games with the Angels in 1996.
* George Arias finished his career with a .238 average, 114 hits (1,971 fewer than Wallach), and never made an All-Star Team.  In short, he sucked.  Additionally he is rumored to be a world class "prick."
