1996 Fleer Ultra #329 Gold Medallion

Card Review: 3.2  It's not immediately obvious, but this card is "identical" to the '96 Fleer Ultra base card.  The background on the front has just been replaced with a lot of gold foil and a giant Ultra logo.  In 1995 the Gold Medallion parallel was just a penny sized gold stamp on the front.  I don't really like either, but I think I prefer the smaller stamp.

1996 Fleer Ultra #329

Card Review: 4.2  This is one of only a handful of cards to depict Wallach in an Angels uniform, and one the better ones to do so.  It's a clean, crisp design with good image quality from Fleer Ultra.  I would rather see career stats on the back instead of two pictures (That's what the front is for!), but I understand that's not what Ultra was going for.

For reasons I can't explain, I love seeing coaches sitting in folding chairs during Spring Training games, as depicted on the front of this card.  It's probably due to my love of Spring Training games.
