1996 Flair #45 Gold
Card Review: 3.1 This is another mid-90's parallel version of a card that no one asked for. I guess I prefer this gold version to the standard silver, but they're both pretty terrible cards. Flair was too thick and too shiny for my taste. The photo used on the front is actually a pretty good action shot. It would have looked great on a '96 Topps card, had Topps bothered to include Wallach in their '96 set.

1994 Flair #184
Card Review: 4.2 This 1994 edition is probably the best effort put out by Flair, not that thats saying too much. The background photo on the front appears to be out of focus on purpose. I'm not sure if they were all like that, as this is the only example a '94 Flair that I've ever seen, or if it's just crummy photo selection. The back shows that Flair was clearly capable of printing in focus. As far stupid card concepts go, "Flair" is definitely in the running for dumbest of all-time.

1995 Flair #158
.jpeg)
Card Review: 3.2 This is another Flair design with it's extra thick card stock and jazzy sparkle front. The picture quality on the back is actually really nice and would have made for a very nice card on the front. But instead Flair went with the "high-end Topps Big" look. I just find Flair sets to be weird. They haven't aged particularly well, but I don't remember ever liking them much in the first place either.

1996 Flair #45

Card Review: 2.9 This card compares well to other Flair efforts. But as a baseball card, it still sucks. I'll never understand what card collector's of the mid to late 1990's were thinking, that made them believe junk like Flair was somehow special. The photo on the front of this card actually looks like it might be kind of nice, but I can't really tell. All the other players, field, stadium, sunlight (everything that makes a baseball card cool) is cropped out. On top of it all, the card stock is way too thick. I hesitate to even call Flair a baseball card, it's more like a novelty item, like the Topps Coins.
Fun Facts: *Wallach hit 8 home-runs in 56 games with the Angels in 1996.
* George Arias finished his career with a .238 average, 114 hits (1,971 fewer than Wallach), and never made an All-Star Team. In short, he sucked. Additionally he is rumored to be a world class "prick."

1993 Flair #77

Card Review: 1.8 Just an all-around epic fail on the part of Flair. The stock is way too thick, the gloss is out of control, and the photo's look like a bad j.c. penny's spread. It doesn't even feel like a baseball card when you hold it.
Fun Facts: *1993 was Wallach's first with the Dodgers
*I never bought so much as a single pack of this crap, it was sets like this that ruined card collecting
