1992 Donruss Durivage #19

Card Review: 8.9  This was a card and set that I didn't even know existed until a couple of years ago.  It was an Expos team set that Donurss made with the Quebec bakery Durivage.  I googled Durivage and didn't find anything, so I don't know if they still exists.  I also don't know how these were distributed.  Ultimately I don't really care.  Once I tracked down a Wallach (which was no easy task), my interest teetered off significantly.  I suspect these came inside loafs of bread, as that seems to be a somewhat common theme with Expos sets in Canada.

The photo on this card is clearly from the same photo shoot used for the 1992 Studio card.  The only difference is on the Studio, Donruss/Leaf cropped out the bat and Wallach isn't smiling.

Number of this card in my collection: 1

  1. THOUGHT THIS MIGHT BE OF SOME HELP ON THIS HARD TO FIND SET HERE IN CANADA -

Featuring the Montreal Expos, the 20-card standard-size set was produced by Donruss for Durivage ( a Canadian bread company in the Province of Quebec ).

The fronts have posed color photos of the players without hats, framed by a gray inner border and a dark green outer border.

The team logo, "Durivage" set name, and player information appear at the bottom of card front.

In a horizontal format, the bilingual ( English and French ) backs carry biographical and recent major league performance statistics, on a background of gray vertical stripes that fade to white as one moves down the card.

The cards are numbered on the back, "No. X de/of 20."

The complete set price does include all variations and the unnumbered checklist card.
