As the Red Sox manager Franconia,due to some type of blood problem he has that causes him to be cold, would forego the uniform and just wear a coat and pants. Eventually MLB figured it out and started checking before each game of he actually had it on under his coat. If you look at Wallach's neck, I can't be sure, but there is a hint of white showing between his neck and the collar of his blue shirt. Or it's farmer's tan lines.
