Peoria, IL

There are two different Tom's from Peoria, Illinois that both regularly send me cards.  A few post back I showed off some cards that Tom with the Saints Prison Ministry sent my way from Peoria.  Not to be out done, "Tom O." of Peoria sent these eleven cards my way.  Thanks for the cards "Tom O."

There are three cards in this group that I feel like mentioning.  The 1992 Score has always been one of my favorite cards from that era.  Some people don't like the amount of dead space on the design, but it doesn't bother me, I think it works.  Unfortunately the color scheme on the back is just a horrific black and green.  The 1992 Topps Kids is another card that I've always really liked.  I'd probably build that set if Topps were to do something similar today.  Finally, 1989 Bowman merits some attention.  For decades I've more or less ignored that set.  But it's actually a really great looking card, with a very nice, clean, simple design.  It's just a shame they're so oddly sized.

Also, if you sent cards in the last 4-6 months, I probably have them and will be getting a post up soon.  I apologize for getting so far behind.

  1. Topps Kids is an underrated set for sure. I would buy a box of that and build the set from packs if Topps brought it back.
Glad the cards made it safely!
